What I have found with coaching people who are ready to make authentic changes in their lives is that they first have to understand who they really are so that they can make changes successfully as you laid out in this post. Many people just believe that they are fundamentally flawed. They get this message subliminally all day long.

So when they begin to see that nothing is wrong with them, growth is a natural part of life and living is in the journey to the goal, then they begin to relax and realize that they are really OK. 

From that OK place, they can set achievable yet challenging goals and meet them.
